The first dam is 75,000m³ with a concrete wall and an irrigation pump house with a Fertigation System. The Macadamia trees vary from 6 to 24 years old. 7 ha Macadamia ranging from 20 to 24 years old, 3 Ha are 19 years old and 1.3ha are 6 years old, reaching full production in 2026. The varieties planted are 788; 816; 741 and Beaumont cultivars. It’s important for cross-pollination. The plant density is 400 trees / hectare. The annual return is an average of 47½ tons off 10 hectares over the past 8 years. Over the past 8 years, the farm has consistently supplied 5 tons / hectare to the factory, wet-in-shell. All 11.2 hectares of macadamias are under micro irrigation. There are 15 automatic valves and 7 irrigation blocks. The entire irrigation system is operated remotely. The irrigation system is linked to a fertigation tank with an injection pump, which is also operated remotely via an App. The soils are (TMS Glenrosa). It appears well suited for semi intensive and intensive agriculture. Located close to the dam, there is a chemical mixing shed, which includes a shower, toilet, and kitchen facilities. This shed also features a chemical storage room equipped with a mixing tank and pumps, encompassing a total area of 24m². Additionally, there is a generator shed covering an area of 8m², designed for a 110kw generator which is installed for the irrigation and the processing shed, for those unforeseen days. The farm runs on ESKOM electricity.
The 201m² dehusking plant offers a processing unit with 6 x 4 ton drying bins with full dehusking requirements. Attached is a shed and store of 83m², and an implement shelter of 92m². A staff ablution block is attached, 2 x 2 showers and toilets.
The farm is completely enclosed with game fencing, featuring a concrete strip at the base, 1.2m Bonnox fencing, and 6 strands of barbed wire extending to 2.1m, along with 22 strands of electrified wire. The nut area is secured with Bonnox fencing up to 1.2m and 6 strands of barbed wire reaching 2.1m, in addition to 20 strands of electrified wire.
The Main Farmhouse has undergone a meticulous restoration, achieving an excellent condition with modern finishes. It features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a lounge, dining room, kitchen with a scullery, and a laundry area with a totalling 252m².
